Hurrah! Welcome to original_cooks, the community for people who love to cook, but more importantly love to experiment with food and create their own, original recipes. If you're anything like me, everytime you make something that comes out great, you want to be able to share it with others who'll appreciate it - well, this is the place to do it!

I'm currently the only mod - I'd like to have at least one more for now (it'll be easy because I'm not gonna screen members or moderate posts unless it becomes an issue - I just want someone else to help with damage control as far as off-topic posts, unnecessary drama, and general snarkiness goes.) so once we get some membership in here, I'm going to try to find someone else to moderate.

I hope we'll be able to get lots of fellow food-enthusiasts in here soon - Once you join, feel free to start posting your recipes!

Looking forward to having lots of new dishes to try :)

PS: I know things are a little messy and unfinished right now - this community is just getting started, so please be patient as stuff gets cleaned up and the details (such as community rules, posting guidelines, etc) get straightened out. Check the comm info page often, as there will probably be a lot changing within the next week or so.
